Dr. Kleio Palaska, an esteemed American Board-certified orthodontist, began her journey in dentistry with a DDS from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, in 2007. She then expanded her horizons in the United States as a research associate at Harvard University, focusing on Experimental Medicine and Oral Epidemiology. In 2013, she earned her Master’s in Orthodontics from Tufts University, Boston. Dr. Kleio also completed a specialized fellowship in orthodontics for children with cleft lip and palate at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada.
She has imparted her knowledge as a clinical instructor in Athens, Greece, and has practiced orthodontics in diverse locales such as Canada, Greece, France, and the UAE. Dr. Kleio’s proficiency includes early orthodontic intervention, various types of braces, Invisalign, hybrid treatments, and orthodontics for cleft lip and palate cases.
Her research endeavors span a wide range of topics, including bisphosphonates and jaw osteonecrosis, prenatal medication’s impact on cleft lip/palate development, and dental anomalies in Pierre Robin sequence. A dedicated educator, Dr. Kleio frequently lectures on orthodontic management for cleft lip and palate, and pre-infant orthopedics.
